Memory Box

Memory Box Sessions

Delivered at Sheltered Housing Schemes as part of a Winter Survival Programme, includes lunch and a movie with sharing of memories.

Tea House Reminiscence®

The Tea House is a safe and friendly environment for everyone to connect with old and new friends, much like the tea houses in Hong Kong and China. The concept of the Tea House builds upon the previous work of our Dementia Champion in raising awareness of dementia and providing advice and information on support services. It is generally accepted that keeping the brain active, for example, through continuous learning and engaging in reminiscence activities, can have very positive effects on a person’s mental health and well-being. As part of the program, participants join an interactive session to enhance their knowledge of dementia and dispel some of the misconceptions regarding the condition. The sessions include a traditional light snack and consist of the following activities:

Memory Box activity

Reminiscence sessions

iPad activities

Traditional indoor games

Light chair based exercises / Love to Move

Interactive quiz session

Games including Bingo

Painting

Reading corner

Sing-along sessions

Health advice and information

Light snacks and tea

Everyone who is interested please come and learn something new or simply enjoy reminiscing over bygone days with us. Pls register online or contact Angel/Maggie on 0151-7092643 for reservations due to limited vacancies
